Is it a psychological thing? I mean if you really think about it, playing these games constantly would seem incredibly boring, so why is it once a lot of people start they just want to play it constantly?
I know it seems like a stupid question, but I'm just curious if these games effect our psyche in some way to make them so addictive.

Well.. this is not a hard question.. all the games are made to create addiction.. it's a matter of taste. Maybe you don't like a game, but if you like it you will become addicted for sure. When you win a game or finish a stage it makes you feel content, more powerful, grows your self esteem.
