What is the reason (Bejeweled Blitz)?

My question is what is the reason for collecting Bejeweled Blitz lifetime points, or for leveling up. The bonus gems are from collecting the bonus coins, and thats all I see for bonuses. I can't seem to find anything on the internet that says what extra perks or bonus you get for leveling up or collecting lifetime points. It sucks you only get to spin for bonus coins on Facebook and not the fullversion.So if anybody knows, plz post...Thanks =)What is the reason (Bejeweled Blitz)?
